LIVE AMMUNITION DURING CLASSROOM TIME IS PROHIBITED!!!
Hawaii Basic Safety Course is a 6 Hours Required Course to Obtain and possess an affidavit to acquire a permit to purchase firearms in Hawai’i. Honolulu Police Department Approved. Classroom time is 4 hours, and Range time is 2 Hours. Ammunition will be provided for the range portion of the class. Eyes and ear protection can be provided (LIMITED Supply). If you have your own, we encourage you to bring them. Upon completing the class an affidavit will be provided.
This course satisfies the firearm safety training requirement necessary for a permit to acquire in accordance with current Hawai’i firearm regulations in Honolulu County.
Students will also learn:
The 4 Universal Firearm Safety Rules
Firearms parts and operation
Ammunition basics and safe handling
Proper loading and unloading procedures
Trigger control, grip, stance, and sight alignment
Situational awareness and defensive mindset
Range safety commands and etiquette
Cleaning maintenance and secure storage procedures

NRA BASIC PISTOL SHOOTING COURSE

This class does not satisfy the Hawai’i Basic Safety Course for permit to acquire firearms.
This is an NRA Basic of Pistol Shooting course to learn the basics and fundamentals of pistol shooting. An NRA course certificate will be provided upon completion. Ammunition will also be provided for the shooting portion of the class
Beginner Shooting Fundamentals
$25.00 / Hourly Rate
This is one way to learn the fundamentals of shooting, get familiar handling pistols, basic safety knowledge and immerse yourself and decide if you want to own a firearm and be confident. Eyes and Ear protection will be provided but if you have your own, we encourage you to bring them. Ammunition will also be provided.
